Polk Street subway entry now open

After being closed for nearly 40 years, the Polk Street exit from the Harrison (Red Line) subway station has reopened. Even better, it's now an automated entry for any passenger who already has a CTA farecard or pass. The stairway at the southwest corner of Polk and State will be the only station entrance during an escalator replacement project at the north entry next year.
